Ring your local council and they will arrange for it to be collected free of charge 😀

    Re: Fridge Freezer Disposal ????

Some councils aren’t doing that now Greg, ours doesn’t. 🙁

Many of them are charging as, according to what I’m told, to safely dispose of a fridge costs ~£80-90, hence a lot of the tips won’t accomodate them and, it would seem, that there’s a fair bit of illegal dumping going on.

All you can do is try the local council but if they quote you a few quid to get rid of it take it. It beats fly-tipping it and a lot cheaper than proper disposal costs usually if you were paying full whack.

I do apologise for misleading information. Ours here are doing it, I thought it was a sensible way forward for the whole country. Fly tipping a go-go it is then, how silly of the government 🙄
