This is the strangest request so far, someone needs to know the exact width of a Hoover New Wave washing machine AC178. The reason, “a court case rests on it”.
As far as I know the dimensions of washing machines are only on brochures and sales bumf, so apart from measuring one I can’t think how to find out, apart from asking the fountain of knowledge that is UKW

GIAS would be able to tell, there’s no tech info on this old model any more on their tech site 🙁
http://www.gias.co.uk – probably best asking for a user manual, it should be in there as well in the spec info, and that way it’s in writing from the horses mouth so to speak 😉

I assumed it wouldn’t be in the instruction book. I have the tech books (up in the loft somewhere) but again, I’m assuming they woudn’t be in there either. I thought it was only relevent to people looking to buy.

as far as I can remember we alwas used to say they were wider than the old logic by about 4mm. go to your local tip theres bound to be one there for measurement.

Go to local tip? I can’t even be bothered to go up to me own loft to check the repair manual 🙂
