Have to admit to the occasional pump with no connection plug. 😳 Damned annoying once you put it back under the worktop, fill the thing up and it’s too damned heavy to pull back out.

Done that on several occasions, the worst one I can think of is doing a Power Unit change on a Hotpoint top loader, built it back up , refitted cabinet and was just about to put the back panel on when I turned round to find the inner drum on the floor behind me. 😳

GOTTA admit the hotpoint bar is one of mine too
also pushing machine back into someones cavity without power or water turned on i also tend to forget to take my van keys or phone or tools and have to walk back to the house where the customer is generally waiting at the door with said item 😳July 30, 2006 at 7:20 pm #183525maltheviking

I always used to forget to put that black plastic heater cover over the Hotpoint heaters. 😳
It wasn’t so bad when they were just a push fit, but then they introduced the plastic screw fixing one and I had to take the front off again to fit it.

Many years ago put a set of bearings into an old 10 series Creda, chatting away with the customer as I put it all the bolts back around the back plate, realised the pulley was still sat on the floor next to me – offered it up to the shaft……. which wasn’t there. Drum with new spider still sat in van. Customer was greatly amused.

Hotpoint 95 many years ago and just out of training. Did a bearing change and various other bits and bobs including new door seal. Reassemble and water testing, sat watching the water reach the inner drum feeling very pleased with myself that the front plate seal wasn’t leaking when…. whoosh water was pouring everywhere. I’d forgotten to put in the door seal 😳 .

In the days when fridge door liners where fixed with 30 to 40 screws and the insulation was glass fibre, the metal door was like a Rolf Harris wobble board on its own so I used to remove the door from the cabinet and place it flat on the kitchen table if I had to replace a cracked door liner, otherwise it was very difficult to get it square. I did this one on a very large door, only to find that I had screwed the door liner on upside down, for some reason that even to this day escapes me I removed the mass of screws and refitted it only to find that I had done the same thing again, no electric drivers in those days.:clown: 😳
