    I just got a second hand Diplomat ADP0300 (Ser 20618806 Mod 050504053). The oven appears to light and heat up but there is a lot of heat escaping from the top of the oven door and food is taking twice as long to cook as it should do, Any suggestions?

    Hinges/hinge supports and/or the door seal by the sound of it.

    Does the door shut firmly when closing ?

    The door appears to close properly, although is does move up about 1cm if you lift the door vertically. The heat is escaping from the top of the door where the seal looks like it might be missing but i believe this is the standard design of the oven. I cannot feel any heat escaping from the other areas around the door

    It’s made by Stoves and yes, they all have that gap at the top of the door seal.

    I doubt there’s anything wrong to be honest, if you’re in doubt though the repairs@ link below should provide an engineer who can check it over for you 🙂
