Hi there, I’ve got a SMEG slimline integrated dishwasher. I’m sorry but neither the machine nor its documentation has the model number! I’ve looked and looked for it but to no avail. Anyway, the salt light stays on even though it is full of salt. It doesn’t seem to affect the performance of the dishwasher, but it’s annoying! Also, I’ve sold the house and I need everything to be working properly. I’d like to see if I can fix this myself before I spend any money on it. It was installed in November 2001, if that helps with what model it might be. Any insights on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much. 😆

the model number will probably be around the inside of the door, on the edges.

Thanks for that, Macmini. The model number is DW! 45.1. Hope that helps!

It’s probably the salt indicator switch on the salt chamber itself.

The part is just under £20 with vat etc so not a costly repair 🙂

Power off if checking yourself or check the repairs@ link below if you need an engineer as it’s quite an involved job 😉

    Dave.
