    Hi to everyone
I have just went in and seen we have a problem with our freezer display panel. The model number is 8586 158 15000 11 0446 023615. The panel is lit continuously and the freezer temp has dropped from the -18 to –, sixth sense and the exclamation mark are also on. It is also beeping at random times until I press the OK button. I have checked all doors etc and its been like this for a good 4 hours without any improvement. Does anybody know if something has packed in or can I reset it. Any help would be appreciated as I guess its already late on a Sat night and wont be able to get anyone to look at it until Monday. Thanks in advance

Just to let you know that the freezer part is now defrosting. I’ve checked the back and there is a fan running at the back bottom of the freezer. Every time we open the fridge door you can hear a motor sound ease off and then get going again when the fridge door is closed.

The — display indicates the temperature in the freezer has risen above -11 deg c. Numerous causes for this, anything from main pcb, faulty thermistor(s), defrost problem, gas or compressor problem. Time to call in an engineer to diagnose fault. Hi again and thanks for the reply dented porsche. I rang whirpool & they tell me that its 4 months out of warranty and they offered me a insurance policy at £140 for 1 year which includes all labour & parts covered. So have taken this out after reading some of the scary storys on here about the price for pcb’s etc. They also told me an engineer call out is now £77. He’s coming on wednesday so I’ll post the result after hes been. thanks again
