I have a D61D about 5 years old, this evening mid cycle I noticed it was making a strange noise, like the motor was cutting in and out. Then a loud clunking accompanied the motor cutting in…any suggestions whats wrong here? I’ve never had a moments trouble with it before, element seems fine as the water in it was heated, and the timer was clicking along as normal. I have switched it off now to prevent anything being damaged further. Any help appreciated!

The circulation motor failing I would think, possibly caused by an internal leak 😉

Power off if investigating further please :zap: or check the repairs@ link below for an engineer to diagnose for you 🙂

Thanks very much, I kind of suspected that but since then it seems to be ok,on an eco wash at least, have not tried the programme it was on when it went wobbly (yet). Thanks again 🙂
