    Our fridge freezer purchased in 1999 Hotpoint model RF63 Iced Diamond has a split in the seal about an inch long. Can we replace or repair this seal? If so how?!

    Also the plastic front of the lower compartment of the freezer part is broken so we no longer use it. This means the food is in the compartment but you don’t have to lift anything to take it out you just open the door. Does this cause a problem or is it just cosmetic?

    First time on this site (sent here from MSE site) so hope I’m in the right forum etc. Thanks in advance.

    The door seal is moulded to the door on this model, it’s a whole door replacement required 🙁

    If you can let me know the colour or the suffix of the model (P/N etc) I can check the price for you.

    The lower freezer compartment flap is around £15 with VAT 🙂

    Well, as the whole door is £72.00 ex VAT and carriage it probably isn’t worth replacing at that cost 😉

    Keep an eye on the temperatre but if it isn’t too bad I would ignore it to be honest 🙂
