My Fisher & Paykel MW059 washing machine won’t fill. It is beeping once per second and the Progress leds have the pattern 00110001.
Regardless of the water temperature selected, neither hot or cold water will enter the tub.
    Any advice?

    cheers kiwipete

Fault code indicates faulty cold water inlet valve
In some cases a faulty valve can take out Motor controller(main PCB)AS Well

I replaced the cold inlet valve (old one had high resistance ~600 ohms) but still have same problem except that Progress leds now show
    00110010.
I can measure high volts on the Motor Controller board (>300v) and both the pcb mounted fuses are ok. Lid switch and Out of Balance switch are ok.
    Any more advice?

Fault code indicates Hot Water inlet valve fault

Check connections to valve or Faulty valve

The hot water solenoid bench tested ok on a 24 volt power supply so I started testing components on the Motor/Controller board and soon discovered an open circuit 5.1 ohm resistor. This is in series with the surface mount FET transistors that drive the solenoid valves. When I replaced this resistor the machine burst back into life.
    Success!
All this stuff would be so much easier if F&P would allow easy access to service manuals for their machines.
