    Hi – my Hotpoint DC27 Dishwasher will not fill up with water. When I switch it on it starts to pre-wash (as normal) but after approx. 3 seconds the pre wash light beeps and then flashes and the programme will not go any further. Will we need a new pump?? Thanks 😥

    It suggests that the base is flooded. Place a couple of towels by the side and tilt the machine part way to one side or backwards. If you get water coming from underneath this will confirm a flooded base.
    You could then try the machine again but if the fault returns you will have to get the machine looked at because it will be leaking. Water in the base can also be caused by using 3 in 1 or 4 in 1 tablets.

    Plug out if you decide to open the patient up please.
