    Hi! The selector kept going round. There was then burning smell an the ‘phut’. Then it stopped! On inspection, the selector switch PCB was found to have black marks looking as it it has shorted out. Replaced the selector switch. Now there is no on/off LED (heater LED is working) and the selector just keeps going round. Have tried to reset, cleaned filter, etc. No difference, the selector still goes round. Any thoughts – anyone?

    You’ve cured the symptom, not the fault. Check the main PCB for a start. Quite likely short circuit will blow the board.

    Thanks. I guess that means that it is likely to be the ‘expensive’ main module that is at fault. That will be an expensive call-out!
