    Hi, A friend of mine has a Diplomat 8224 which fills, but the wash arm doesn’t spin. Is this terminal, or can it be fixed at a reasonable cost?

    Depends what’s up with it. 😉

    Likely faults are the motor capacitor (cheap fix) or the motor itself (expensive fix).

    How easy are they to fix in either case? I’m a general handywoman, but whitegoods isn’t yet in my portfolio, but it’s something I’m considering for the future.

    The other week I had a reply with regards to a faulty dishwasher saying,

    “Depends what’s up with it.

    Can anybody either give me an idea of the costs involved or tell me how easy (or difficult) the faults are to repair?
