AROUND 50 independent service engineers who are owed around £250,000 for work carried out on behalf of Powerhouse are to meet the store group’s new management.
Payments to the engineers stopped when the store group went into administrative receivership on August 20. It was subsequently bought by the New Zealand-based Pacific Retail Group.
The engineers have appointed their trade association, the Independent Consumer Electronics Delegation (ICED) set up a year ago, to negotiate with Powerhouse’s new owners on their behalf.
