ParticipantHi,
Just been out to a Zanussi dishwasher DE6744 – 91188011/01.
After about 20 minutes of being on a cycle it flashes a fault code of which i cannot find on the fault code section. The programme position lights on the right hand side of the facia from top to bottom (there are 5) the 2nd and 3rd lights start to flash.
Does anybody have any information on the fault codes. Is there a diagnostic like the Zanussi washing machines?
I tried it on the quick wash programme, it fills ok, washes, heats and then empties, then it seemed to flash the fault code.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Nick

a) Motor winding interrupted/short-circuited
b) Electrical connections loose / interrupted
c) Motor jammed (foreign bodies/pump unit)
d) Tachymetric sensor interrupted/short-circuitedAugust 21, 2006 at 9:40 pm #185961grooster

Hells bells, not just a simple, valve faulty or something like that, dam.
I’ve not had the machine to bits yet, but like i say i’ve had it running and it doesnt have anything blocking the motor/pump, dont know what is meant by motor winding interupted but i would assume it was the same as being blocked.
It could i suppose be a loose connection but havent checked yet as for the tachymetric sensor, i havent got a clue what this is or where to even find it.
I was hoping to get this job sorted quickly as its for my accountants and was rather looking forward to getting a bit of my hard earned money back.Kind regards
Nick

I’ll try and get back tommorrow and check out the capacitor. It didnt seem to go open circuit. It seemed to complete the heat cycle perfectly, progress to the emptying stage and then when it should go on to the rinses it just started flashing the error codes.
By the way i wasnt having a go at you for the error codes you gave me, it just wasnt what i wanted to see. Was hoping for a simple fault, especially being my accountants.
Your help is much appreciated Cab.Thanks again
Nick

I have a DE6744 also displaying the same fault code. I replaced the stripped impellor blade as usual.
It now drains fine at start (although it hums ominously between the short initial drain pulses – normal?), washes OK for a while, possibly to first drain cycle, then sits there with the selected prog light flashing plus the second and third down on the vertical set.
Has anybody else had this? Does anyone have experience of caps going o/c when hot? It sounds like it might be this.
