Has started to leak a large pool of water once a day. The fridge/freezer still seems to work fine. Any ideasabout the leaking ?

where does the leak appear, i mean which side?
is the bottom inside of your freezer iced up?

Left hand side from underneath freezer side – every day and always late evening. Have pulled it out to see if any pipes have come free but nothing appears to be obviously damaged or out of place.

is the inside floor of your freezer iced up?
ie. is there ice on the bottom of your freezer, inside the cabinet?

Yes there is a small ammount of ice on the freezer floor.
Looks kind of old though and not recently formed.Re: Maytag Sovereign M2260iSSB
it’s more than likely that the evaporator drain hole is blocked, so that when the evaporator defrosts, the water that is the product of the defrost, comes into the cabinet and then out through the door and on to the floor. this would happen 3 times in a 24hr period.
