ModeratorInitial complaint ‘no spin’ Set to two different spin settings, door locks, pump and dryer fan start to run even though dryer timer is off and appears to be working normally, no main motor action. Set to rinse but it will not fill save for a split second if you advance the timer manually. No fill on any wash programmes. Motor & brushes OK, all pressure hoses & chambers clear, pressure switches appear to be operating normally.
😕

Dunno Jim but being as the Pressure Switches dictate both filling and allowing spin to proceed I can only conclude it must be a Pressure switch fault? 😕

Long shot , but timer indicator dial can sometimes slip out of position :con:

Unfortunately there is no motor action whatsoever, even advancing the dial manually through the various steps. The only time I can get any fill is when turning it manually through the rinses but it is literally just a split second burst. Timer knob appears to be sound. 😕
May have to be a tedious trawl through the wiring. 😥 Oh how I long for the return of Hotpoint style linear diagrams. 🙂August 22, 2006 at 4:17 pm #186067Martin

….another thought?…..Burnt relay terminals on the module??????

But would that account for no fill, no motor action and the dryer fan motor running in a spin only cycle?
The only time I did have a dryer motor running like this, the machine had a gunged up pressure hose but these are clear, even tried the machine with the hoses off to be sure.

Ah yes , haven`t replaced one of those L shaped 546547 modules in ages but from memory that is the fault. Module does control water valves etc.
EMW or QER should be able to help but £44:99 from Masterpart.
