I’m afraid we can’t go in to specifics for legal reasons but the oven will need to be removed from it’s housing to do this.

    Remember to power off :zap:

If you’re unsure, check the repairs@ link below for an engineer 🙂

Have you already got the element to be fitted ?

    Thanks

I am a City & Guilds trained electronics engineer and dont like getting “shocks” :colour:

What I do need to know is do I take the oven out from the front or the back (which means taking my kitchen apart !!) can you give me any guidence how to get it out –

no I havent bought the element yet – but I can see that it is burnt out and only half the circuit is working

    many thanks

From memory (it’s an oldie!), you can free the element from inside the oven box, but because of the tightness of the loom, you will lose the wiring down the back anyway.

    TURNED OFF THE MAINS 1st
Got the oven out of its housing – only four screws – rested it on a support at about the same height – took off the metal plate covering the grill part at the back – located the grill with 6 wires going to it. Wrote down the colours in order left to right – plus an earthing lead – un-did two little nuts and the element came out at the front.

I have put an order in with my local shop – we shall see …..
