ModeratorCannot open door on this machine.
With selector knob set to X and machine switched OFF, pressing the door release button will not open the door, if you hold the door release button, the ON light comes on and the start light is flashing, display shows 0.00.
If you switch ON, select a programme and press the START button. the ON light is steady and the START & DOOR lights are flashing but nothing else happens.
Very poor kitchen installation means having to disconnect all hoses to get it out.
Customer also reported seeing F05 ( possible brush fault ) surely this wouldn’t prevent the door from opening?
How do you get the door open on this machine, say in the event of a power cut etc. ❓

Remove the kickplate, and above the pump there should be a red pull tab.
Pull this and door opens.F05 is motor fault.
I have had problems with the on/off door release assy in the past, though not many. Could also be a dodgy door lock or connection. IIRC there are two connectors to the lock, have had these work loose also.
Only way to find out is to get in there.

Come across this problem a little while back. In this case the heater was down to earth sending a feed via pcb on to lock. Hope this helps

Good shout Rick, I’ve also had earth faults cause a problem with door lock, though not on that model.

Went back today, could not release door lock with the red plastic doofer, had to release front panel and reach inside. Bending and twisting the interlock released it so I suspect it is just the switch which is faulty. Bad news is that the motor brushes have gone. Cannot see an end cap for this beastie 141193. 😥 Is it a complete motor job?

No! The latest part number of the end frame (God I wish Bosch wouldn’t mess with part numbers, always changing them 👿 ) is 496875 :rolls:
You will also find the original 096331 end frame will fit just fine, but again they have changed the number on that to 496872 ❗
German logic I suppose?? :rolls:

I`d be careful Jim because I`m almost certain that you need end cap 096809 (496875) and 096331 will not work.

Yep! stake my life on it in fact. The only difference between the two parts is the fact that the 096331 has 8 terminals and the other just 6. However the only part number BSH will recognise is 496875, so Jim will have to go with that 😉
Unless of course you have a 096331 in stock Jim?, that’ll do nicely 😆

Ok Martin , I was thinking back to this thread and I can assure you that 096805 is not inter-changeable with 096331 despite suggestions that it should be.
Bosch part numbers , right enough :rolls:

Ok lets get this right ❗
For the WFP3201GB/01
Original end cap (096809), has been superceded by (496875) £31 BSH pricing. As for the WFT2800GB/13 that end cap is (096805) which has been superceded by (496876) since my last addition on that particular post.

You could just get the soldering iron out, Jim and fit a pair of 12-BS-02 for a couple of quid 😀

I thought that would be possible Chris, but just at the moment I don’t have time to think, let alone get the soldering iron out. 😥 😥 At this very moment I am photocopying masses of documents from the hospital regarding my mother. What they have done to her is gross negligence and I am in the process of building a case to present to the legal eagles. It will do her no good at all but it is something I have to do. Still have a few unread posts and a couple of PM’s to answer, one asking for some tech info.
Believe it or not, I was repairing this Bosch machine in my dreams at 4.30 AM this morning. 🙁
Jim.
