My Candy Fridge-Freezer Model CIC324AK is freezing everything in the fridge, I have tried fully defrosting it and left it turned off for over a week but when turned on again I had the same problem. There is no seperate fridge temperature control, only one for the freezer. I can also only find a thermister in the freezer. The refrigiration unit is R600a. What might be the problem and what can i do to fix it. Thanks, Andy!

The fridge sensor is foamed in and cannot be replaced by the looks of it, the PCB may also be quite likely to have failed.

No easy checks to be honest, you can try replacing the PCB for about £50 (email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk if you want one) and see if that works or call an engineer (repairs@ link below) 🙂

Presume your fix would apply across the board for such a problem. My Candy has gone the same way 🙁 – only four years old, and this is its first ever fault, but a big one from the sound of things. At £90 callout charge, methinks I might just go invest in a new one, and perhaps a better model or something too, as I couldn’t afford this outlay every 4-5 years. Good to hear that others have had a similar problem in one sense, but miserable that it may be a design fault or something?
