ModeratorI have ordered two of these now, Part No: 97917108 Latch Plate Kit. According to the GIAS spares info this includes the small spring, however it is missing from both packets and the customer has lost the tiny black spring.
Can anyone come up with a part number for the spring?
PS. I sourced these parts from DS Supplies. I have had one of these on order from Masterpart for over a month and another for two weeks, still waiting 😈

In stock at Connect and includes spring service pack – Connect part no. 5031688255012 £2.66+VAT.
Hope that helps,
Steve.

Very helpful, unfortunately I don’t have a Connect account. 😥
It is not really practical for a sole trader to have half a dozen suppliers. The discounts on non fast moving spares are pitiful at the best of times.
Surely there must be a Gen part number for this Steve?

92483148? Connect won’t tell the peasants the real numbers in case they buy stuff for the proper price elsewhere………

Granted, Chris, but considering the complete kit is cheaper than just the spring and the peasant could complete the job on the Friday and bank the cheque………… 8)

Received a 92483148 spring today, it is a spring but it is definately not a door latch spring. It is a very fine thin coiled spring with hooks at either end, just under 2 inches long.
If this part is available from Connect as a complete kit why does the one from GIAS that purports to include the spring not do so. 👿

Did you solve this one Jim ?
I have the same problem and GIAS are being total tw@ts about it and trying to convince me that the spring doesn’t exist :rolls:
