ParticipantHi,
The fault is that it will not fill the water container.
Condenser is clean, the heater works, the tube to the water container is clear, the pump/sump is clean (the pump works), the channel that runs from the back of condenser to the pump is clear, it circulates the air, the door filter and duct is clear. It doesnt move up the drying cyle either (sensor dryer) which i assume is down to the fact the clothes are just staying hot and damp.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Regards
Jeremy

All a bit odd? Now if you where to tip the machine backwards sufficiently to pour a couple of pints of water into the drain channel to the pump. Then stand it back up and switch on, the pump should now fire up and blast the water up the hose into the water tank….well it should at that point at least?
We know the pump works and the hoses are clear (hopefully the float switch chamber is all set to go as well) so that should be a final test for it at least I would have thought?

done that, i poured a cup of water into the area behind the condenser and it pumped it straight up into the water container.
its a baffling one to say the least

KeymasterBecause of your argument “clothes are just staying hot and damp” and Condenser is clean and also thepump works… therefore the problem is the fan motor (condenser 4uF or even the comand)….check there

Keymasteror your condenser is not close tight(missing rubber or damaged).
To see which part are the fault I try to connect one control-lead at motor fan to check if he receive 220V

You said that the condensor to the pump is clear, had a problem recently with the siemens it was linted up, the pump got some water and if you removed the hose from the pump at the back it spurted water.
rumaged around the rear of the condensor into the cavity the pump sits, with the ever-so faithfull last remaining 6 ” of coathanger and presto a big glob of lint fouling the hole.
As I said it did allow some water through but not enough to make the thing perform properly.
Just a thought.September 6, 2006 at 10:05 pm #187719superfix

It has to be a partial blockage somewhere!!!
The impellor on the pump is totally clear of lint is’nt it?.
Failing that the plastic elbow where the drain hose connects to the water chamber is a favourite for blockages.

KeymasterIt does not have water pump problem because he didn’t found water inside the tank and the fulltank level switch is working.
I suppose that he dont have cooling ventilation or the hot and cold aer is mixing somewhere and not making condens. (if the condenser is clean)
