For the second time my washing machine has the F04 error message.

The first time the machine was restarted, and appeared to work OK.

This time I am curious what this error message is, incase it relates to something more critical than a basic restart.

I would be grateful for any help.

Re: Bosch WFX 3267 F04 Error

    Hi thanks for the info.

i did manage to drain it manually.
When i opened the filter i found a twenty pence piece (no change there)
    sorry….!
Checked around the filter enclosure, no other items found.
    Replaced and restarted machine.
Ran OK for one full wash, then stopped again (beep, beep + F04)
Repeated above, drained and checked filter.
    This time nothing there.
Water appears to flow ok to the filter, as the many wet sheets and towels will show.
Could there be a blockage beyond the filter ie: in the hose leading to the drain?
ps. It has run half a dozen washes since, with no errors.

    Thanks

Does the m/c connect to a stand pipe or a combined under sink waste?.

If it connects to a sink waste, then that is possibly partially blocked.

Other than that it may be engineer time.

    Hi again

The Machine connects to a single upright waste pipe, with the hose inserted about 30cm inside.
Is this what you refer to as a stand pipe?
From the machine the pipe has a 2.5 metre run out to the drain.

When it works, water appears to flow freely to the drain. So no obvious blockages in that pipe.

If we are talking an Engineer visit, is this major works?

    Thanks

You could check the anti syphon bottle in the rear corner of the casing – they clog up from time to time. Power off if removing the lid. Consider also that a 5p piece is exactly the right size to sit in the outlet from the pump.
