Freezer has four shelves, the top one is not freezing. Other three ok? Any help gratefully appreciated. Thanks in anticipation Nigel September 12, 2006 at 11:16 am #188350 Dave_ConwayParticipant Re: Hotpoint Frostfree Mistral Freezer Probably a system failure but the model number would help 😉 Dave. When you say system failure, what does that actually entail? Thanks Nigel September 15, 2006 at 11:52 pm #188352 Dave_ConwayParticipant Re: Hotpoint Frostfree Mistral Freezer System failure is an internal leak or a compressor problem but as you have a frost free model it may be a defrosting issue. Try a shutdown for 24/48 hours and see what happens 😉 Dave. It is now freezing on all shelves! She sends her thanks. Also asks how often she should do a defrost? Thanks for your help Nigel 😆 September 22, 2006 at 1:35 pm #188355 MartinParticipant Re: Hotpoint Frostfree Mistral Freezer nigel.kidley wrote:Also asks how often she should do a defrost? Once a year is advisable methinks, January each year is a good time to do it (avoiding the hot summer months and Christmas 😉 ) September 24, 2006 at 7:02 pm #188356 nigel.kidleyParticipant Re: Hotpoint Frostfree Mistral Freezer I’ll pass the message on. Once again thanks for your help. Nigel Author Posts Viewing 8 posts - 1 through 8 (of 8 total) You must be logged in to reply to this topic. Log In Username: Password: Keep me signed in Log In
