    the washer was part way through cycle when there was a power cut. When power restored, the cycle didn’t resume. Have reset and started again but there is no water getting through. Have checked for blockages etc. but there aren’t any. Have been told it is probably something in the side panel that needs re-setting as “they can be too clever for their own good”.

    Is this truly a higher form of intelligence or can I fool it into thinking of me as an equal?

    The number you have given is correct, however, after it there will be /??.
    The ? denotes a digit, this is critical to correctly identify your model.

    the full number is SGS66A02GB/17.

    Hi
    It may be worth checking the resistance of the fill valve, situated at the rear of the appliance. The value should be in the range 2-3k ohms.

    Unplug appliance before attempting this measurement :plug: .
