Hi,
The back of my fridge keeps getting a layer of snowlike ice forming very quickly and also some drips leaking to under the veg trays. My current way of dealing with this is to wipe it off with my hand about 5 times a day (not ideal!) but want to know what the problem is. It is about 9 years old and we’ve never had any trouble with it. The door doesn’t shut properly all the time, but I’ve noticed that the ice formation doesn’t correspond to when the door is not closed properly, it forms when the door has been shut as well.
I have just defrosted the fridge/freezer because a big solid, clear block of ice had formed (over the last month) in the back of the fridge and was ‘eating’ the jars in the back of the fridge.
Any advice would be gratefully received…quite attached to the fridge and would rather not have to go out and buy a new one. (How can someone be attached to their fridge? Very sad indeed!)
Thanks
Thea
