Had a problem with a water leak in the base of our Whirlpool ADP5966.

Couldn’t locate a part from Whirlpool but managed to replace the hose successfully.

Unfortunately, the machine now fires up ok (no leaks!), runs for a while then errors “F8”

I think, from other Whirlpool posts, that this is a water level related fault?

Any ideas which sensors its likely to be? (The machine has been laid down for some time while we were trying to get the right part…)

Thanks very much for your help.

    Hi
You either looking at dirty or faulty Water Indicator (WI) situated in sump below filters, when removed;at the 3 oclock position OR there is a problem with the float assembly in the base eg water ingress or base pushed up too far thus activating it.

Un plug appliance before investigating further :plug:

Thanks very much – I’ll have a look around (maybe the machine didn’t like being laid over while we were trying to source a part).

Apologies for the slow reply – I’ve been without a PC for a few days (These things go in threes don’t they?) 😀
