    The washing machine seems to work o.k. but when i use the drying function the fan comes on but there is no heat and no fault codes. CAN ANYONE HELP?

    Not many codes for the dryer side……. Insufficient heat, overheat, that’s about it. So, if there’s no heat, you should get a fault code.

    Common problems with these are fluff blockages in the condenser, sensor failures, condenser valve failure or even the computer itself.

    If you’re going to check out the problem, power off when you remove any cover.

    Thanks for your reply, before i call an engineer out i would like to make sure there is no fluff in the condensor, how do i do that? i had the top cover off last night and it does not seem obvious also are there any other blockages etc that might be causing the problem that i should check out first? Also when the machine is empty and i put it onto dry it seems to initially allow water to come into the machine, is this for keepin things cool when the drying cycle is on?

    Condenser is straight under the blower motor – only access is to split the casing. Being a condenser dryer, it uses a trickle of cold water through the condenser to flash the steam back to water.

    Power off if you’re going to have a go……
