Hmm, you got me – thermostat function is the obvious one – it has to “make” the circuit to restart the timer after the heat phase, but doesn’t explain the no start business.
Looks like timer may be the problem – however……… there are two different ones fitted to this machine – a Copreci version (brown and cheap) and an Eaton one (cream and not cheap at all).
Decision time I’m afraid – send for us pros, take a shot yourself, or replace. Personally, I’d rush out and buy a Bosch.
