Can anyone help?
We moved into a house with a smeg dishwasher and I have no idea of the model number or anything. It is stainless steel and am guessing about 5 years old. It had been working fine but now water has stopped draining.I have pulled it out and I know that hose is not kinked at back. I’ve also taken big silver round thing off and got to a big round plastic bit that that only has 1 hole in it ( I think) and have put my finger down and can’t feel that it is blocked up.
Can anyone help me? I don’t want to pay a big call out charge-has anyone got any top tips?

When the machine is in the drain mode, can you hear a faint humming noise? The drain pump may be stuck or blocked. Check the coupling at the sink as well.
If you’re going to go underneath to have a look at the drain pump itself, please ensure the power is off.
The model number will be found on a label down the edge of the inner door.

The model number is LSUK 986X and I am not sure when it is in drain mode but there is kind of a whirring noise.
If it is a problem with a drain pipe- where is that located and how to I unclog it?

As per forum rules in the sticky at the top of the forum, we cannot walk you through the job. The drain pump is under the machine, so a bit of screwdrivering will be required. Do check the sink coupling of the drain pipe first though.
