    can anyone help? we have a cannon double oven SI MK2 and the problem is the ignition is staying on constantly even though the oven is lit the timer is working and set correctly-help please ! 😳

    Hi
    I would imagine you have a problem with the self ignition system for whatever reason.

    As this is a gas appliance and the unit that is faulty is a safety requirement, please feel free to use the engineer link below and find one of our Corgi engineers.

    I know the original message is a month old, but people doing a search (as I was!) may be interested to know that the above problem can be caused by the cooker not being earthed. Took a lot of headscratching before I discovered that!

    Hi, I was wondering if this faulty earth could cause an intermittant ignigtion click.

    Yes – at least that’s what I found; no earth, constant “clicking”, poor earth (ramming a bit of metal between wall and metal of cooker – not recommended :rolls: ) resulted in occasional clicking. A “proper” earth – no problem.
