Belling BE811 Fridge Freezer

Hi all, i seem to be the only person on this forum that has not had a response, is there something i am doing wrong. My Belling fridgefreezer BE811 is only about 18 months old (warranty was only 1 year) and no longer works. The light in the fridge still works and there is a slight humming noise but no coldness in the fridge nor the freezer. The motor at the bottom rear (i think its a motor) is hot. Can anyone tell me what may be wrong. I have got someone coming out to look at it tomorrow (Wed 27 Sep) which is costing me about £50.00 call out charge, but hopefully i can avoid this, if someone might know if it is worth repairing or dumping.
