    I am getting the following error code 6th light (from left to right) delicate wash light flashing.
    Any cycle that I put the dishwasher on doesn’t proceed beyond the wash cycle apart from prewash which works fine. I have to put it to prewash to empty the water from the machine.
    Any ideas as to what is wrong?

    I suspect your machine is not heating the water?

    If that is your observation then a new heating unit will be required. (See link below for a local engineer to fix it for you 🙂 )

    Sounds correct. As the machine is under 5 years old I suppose it’s worth paying the £90 to call out a hotpoint services engineer.

    Well yes probably as a local independent would have to charge you for the part plus labour and that may top the £90?
