Hi, my DeLonghi DFS903 has just developed a noisy fan problem. It’s not the oven fan – the noise happens even when just the light is turned on. Looking in from the back, I can see a fan sitting horizontally above the oven (having read some other posts I believe this may be a cooling fan for the controls?)

It is this that is struggling to turn and making the noise.

Can anyone tell me how to access it please and then if it’s likely to be a simple fix or not?

Thanks in anticipation of your help.

hi if this is a gas hob version it needs a technician, from experience delonghi is the same as elba and kenwood, same s*** different name, they have had problems with the cooling fan and a modification is required.

Yep, it’s a gas hob. When you say modification, does this mean a replacement (modified) fan?

Any guesses how much I’m going to be looking at to get someone in to do it?

the mod envolves fitting a spacer into the original fan which should only cost a couple of quid, click on the red toolbox to find a repairer in your area.
