Good evening all. As some you of you know I don’t do a lot of washing machine repairs.

    Need some help.

A friend is just about to buy an LG WM16331FD. They have asked me if it is any good.

Any thoughts from the gurus out there?

    Regards

    Re: LG Washing Machine

Price on this appliance ranges generally in the £450 – £550 bracket, not certain on the guarantee period so I would recommend ISE, reliability and service assured 😀

    Agreed. I did suggest ISE.

Apprently the LG has a 7.5kg load capability……..

Don’t you just love these Manufacturer’s Weight Specs, 7.5 Kg of clothing is a big load and doubtful you or I, or anyone could get a sideways hand in at the top of the drum. (Best indication of maximum Load)
I’m not always certain that when manufacturer’s increase spin speed capability or Load weight capability that they increase the engineering specification of the machine. 1200rpm to 1600rpm? Are the bearing sizes increased? Is the drum shaft size increased? Is the motor capability increased? 😕

    Re: LG Washing Machine

Thanks for the reply …. just been talking with the friend (& family) again who is here enjoying our beer, wine etc :D.

Was told by the Salesman that this thing is very quiet & has a direct drive motor, no belt. Lots of programmes etc etc.

Personally, I’m a bit dubious about LG anyway.

Just wanted to get an opinion as I’ll get ‘lumbered’ to fix it when its out of warranty.
