Hi guys, this is my first post and would like a little help please. The shambles that is currys finally delivered my new samsung fridge today, and apart from the dent on the side, i noticed that the ice dispenser flap inside the door opens when you depress the the ice dispense lever but the flap stays open unless you put your fingers up to shut it. Is this a common problem or will it go away with time?
It appears the flap is too large for the hole it is in, i am talking about the black rubber flap you can see when you remove the cap on the inside of the door, the cap where the ice comes through. Maybe i need a service call, if this is the case is it an easy job?

I think the fridge i have is basically the same as the rs21dcns but that model is now discontinued for the rs21dpsm which has different handles and a lighter silver colour.

Thanks In advance for any replies and i hope i have supplied enough info.

    Hi

The new model dispensor assembly is no longer solenoid operated.

The shutter closes slowly after approx 10 seconds after the glass is taken away.

hi thanks for the help, so would you assume that this is usual? also how long do you have to wait for the ice to be tipped out of the ice cube tray? and if its frozen in there then how does it come out?

Also do you know if this fridge has been modified against the fan icing up problem?

    Thanks
    Andy
