    Zanussi Jetstream 1000 Turbodry-WDJ1074-914639001

    Hi

1992 model and I am looking to cure its first problem that has been around for a while and I think is starting to get worse. On the tumble drying cycle clothes sometime come out dripping wet and the filter is full of water. Have checked drain hose, filter and run cleaners through the system. Have tried the drain hose into a bowl on the floor and also at sink height and the water (on drying) pumps out slowly on both counts. I have not tried the pressure sensors or looked at pump, as yet, so would appreciate any advice that you could give.
A second fault occurred yesterday, the belt on the dryer motor gave up, not bad considering the use it gets.

    Regards

Well if the pump does still work OK and the drain filter is clear? Then your 14 year old machine has probably got blocked arteries. (i.e the grey corrugated drain hose is probably completely gunged up inside and needs either replacing or a darn good clean?

:zap: POWER OFF BEFORE ANY REPAIR ATTEMPT PLEASE! :zap:

If you need help on that? (see link below 😉 )

Thanks Martin, now that I have machine completely undressed I found out that the Jetsteam motor is totally US, not an essential part of the system one assumes but I am going to replace it. This in mind I expect that the main pump is poor and probably working spasmodically! I now recall (well my wife then) that sometimes the water didn’t drain on a main wash, so I have ordered a new one and hope this cures ailment because that is as far as it goes.

Regarding pipes, all clear but, oh dear the state of the fan and associated gubbings, 14 years of fluffy towels. Now sparkling and blowing like a hurricane, clothes should dry in half the time.

    Thanks again
