Hi there – hope you can shed some light on this

About halfway through the cycle my Siemens dishwasher tripped the RCD. I switched it off, bailed out the hot water and left it, hoping it was a temporary fault.

Well, it’s still tripping the RCD as soon as the ON switch is pressed. It also sounds as if the door isn’t catching when it shuts, perhaps its part of the problem or perhaps its frozen open, I don’t know.

I’ve booked an engineer but before he gets here I was hoping someone could give me a best guess of the problem – or even if it’s worth repairing, I’d hate to spend £70 just to be told its not worth it.

    Its an SF25 A060GB/08, FD # 8207, about 5years old.

    Thanks in advance

    RB

Educated guess would be heater failure – not too terrible to have repaired.
