I was replacing a circulation motor on a hotpoint dwf 50 today. There had been no wash motor action when I went to it and came back with the part after checking the old motor. Had been leaking and insulation was low.
After fitting the new motor there is still no wash action and it is getting very very hot. Cant see any breaks in the door wiring or damage to the board. I changed the cap at the same time and tried another I had on the van.

Any other suggestions? Thanks 🙁
It sounds as if it’s seized or jammed, get the motor out again and see if the pump vane rotates, and look for any foreign bodies inside it, double check the cap. 😉
