    Whirlpool AWM5145/2 857051415300

Soap drawer leaks on rinses. Small trickle runs along the bottom of the facia and down round the door. Leaks on most rinses when filling from the centre bank of jets. Soap drawer very clean; jets cleared with wire; drawer fits snugly; water pressure good.
As it fills (looking at the jets with the soap drawer removed) the water jets are firing straight down but then start to ‘break up’ and therefore squirt water over onto the front top part of the drawer and subsequently leak. 👿
I had an LG do this and it was a defective dispenser body. I was advised on this forum that LG had this problem with some dispensers. Do Whirlpool machines have this problem too? I can’t see any obvious fault with the dispenser. Help please!!!
Part no’s would also be very useful.

    Thanks!!

    Steve.

two different fixes that I know of for this one.

    1) use silicone and seal the water jets at the front of the conditioner drawer.

    2) take out the green divider from the front of the drawer ( this is the part that is used in the drawer for liquid detergent ).

I find that the latter works for me, the water still goes through the gap at the top of the drawer but the shape of the drawer has now changed and the water goes straight back into the housing.
