aeg 4040 dishwasher, when filling it leaks small amounts of water into base from clear overflow tube from regeneration tank.seem to remember seeing this before but can’t remember how i cured it last time.any ideas!

New metering tank required, the old one will be moulded to the sump.
It has to be cut off to fit the new one, you could try to flush the old one out but you will require a short length of hose and a coulple of clips to put it back, you get these with a new tank 😉

hi side tank probably is blocked but its not the type mal suggests, there are two different ones depending on the product no. & elc code (two digits after 9 number code)

Cab, just out of curiosity I tried both of the part numbers and according to electrue, they are the same part.
Do you know what the diff is?Brian

hi me again looks like the 899 number supercedes to the 111 number, same bit probably big difference in price.

thanks for the replies but metering tank is very clean and can see through all parts when held up to the light.all sump hoses clean.any other ideas!

hi is the water definetly coming from the tube? what I have done if not sure is to bend the pipe and hold it up with a cable tie, if it is the hose you can see it fills the u-bend made, but have had them leak from al over, hardest one to find was the nut on the salt pot being loose.
