I have the above tumble dryer and the drum wont turn anymore. HOWEVER, if i take the top off and give the drum a spin/push the motor will get going and it tumbles and dries.

When it gets the the point when it wants to reverse, it no longer has the power to start it turning again, same if you open door, turn it off etc.

i.e doesnt seem to be able to get the drum turning but does work once spinning.

    Anything i can do? Replace?

    Hi
It sounds like you need to change the start capacitor (attached to motor)
An email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will sort you out 😉
Un plug appliance before attempting any repair on the appliance :plug:

the wires to the cap often break off also. so inspect it before you replace:)

they have a tendancy to just break off where the spade connector is, i’d say 25{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of my callouts are to broken wires not faulty caps.
rough blackpool wanna make something of it 😈 😆
