ParticipantCan anyone help 🙁
My door seal on my Diplomat Select 610 oven has broken & fallen off. I cam back from holiday & went to use the cooker & found the door seal hanging off. I have the instruction manual which denotes the model no as AHY33** Fan assisted with clock. It has the hooks on the corner but I cannot seem to be able to put the seal back on. How much are these to purchase & are they relatively easy to put on as there are no instructions in the manual. This was purchased from MFI about 5 years ago. Do I have to undo the four screws on the oven to reseal it?
Hoping some can shed some light on this annoying subject

We’ll be able to get you one easily enough, but spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will need the “**” bit……. If it’s not on a label around the door frame, it’ll be on the roof of the oven box.

Hi Penguin45,
I have looked at the roof of the oven door but cannot see no model number. Do you mean to undo the four screws and slide the oven box out?
Funny thing is that even the instruction manual that came with it just prints differing model numbers with only the first two numbers then **Thanks

Afraid so…..
Problem is that Diplomat don’t actually make anything. It’s all badge engineered to specification by various continental manufacturers; at least five that I can think of! The Brandt-made ovens comprised most of the 33 series, but there is no way of being absolutely sure without the full code.

Thanks Penguin45
Is a new seal easy to put on once I have located the correct code or do you have to engage the seal with the box out & then fit the seal and screw the box in with the four screws.
Hope you understand what I mean as I have tried to reseal the old one with no luck (although it is broken anyway)Thanks

Most of these oven door seals simply hook on at the corners, so should be able to be done with the oven insitu. Which makes it particularly annoying when you have to pull it out for the sake of a couple of missing digits :rolls: .

Hi, I also am looking for a door seal for a Diplomat Select 610 oven. Did you manage to supply one? Please let me know the part number and I’ll order one!
Thanks

610 is a generic – Dave’ll need the AHY number to supply you.

That’s a shame, I’m struggling to get the unit out. I took out the four screws but it wouldn’t budge. I think it must be attached elsewhere too. I was just wondering if anyone knew what the AH number was for a Diplomat Select 610, or is it possible that there were many different models which were all called a 610?
Perhaps the original poster discovered the real model number of their 610. I’d be prepared to take a gamble on mine being the same!
Cheers,
Tim

This thread has repeatedly asked posters for the model number of the appliance and nobody bothers. If you want a part number identifying, state the model number.

Participantha ha three different people posting and no model number yet!
I have to say I do admire you for working hard all day fixing appliances and then spending your time identifying parts for the general public!
