    Hi Dave,

My problem seems to be common – but I am not clear which part to order first.

Hotpoint Mistral ff92, fridge at 18C, freezer at -22c. Fan is running fine and does stop when door open. Have defrosted and left for 48hr and when initially switched on all ok but returns to 18c fridge after couple of days. Baffle in fridge is open and I have even unclipped this whole unit in fridge just to ensure cool air is coming up the left tube (looking at fridge). The tube (and right one) is not blocked but I am not getting any cold air coming into fridge.

Any ideas where I should start?

    Hi

the thermal fuse or defrost heater is the most likely culprit.

    Cheers Bryan,

Do you know where these are located – are they in the freezer comp accessed from inside?

Also, do you know the part numbers please?

Hi Dave, with Mistrals I would always start by replacing the thermistors, yellowplug and the green plug, which fit on the evaporator

I have also recently noticed that there is some build up in ice on the metal components (which I believe are the thermistors??) at the base of the tube going into the fridge (left side looking into the freezer). Although the tube itself is not blocked. I can not however understand why there is no cold air flowing into the fridge. I have replaced the covers inthe freezer, the fan is running, the baffle unti in the fridge is hanging loose but no cold air is coming out the vent. Could this still be down to thermistors??
