ParticipantI bought a just house with a Ariston washer dryer I think I’m using it right. I have took the lid off and also the inlet pipe that goes into the drum and it pumps water into the drum when on drying cycle.
Clothes come out all wet and hot at the end of cycle.
Any ideas on what the problem is or is there any special way to set it to dry. It’s doing my head in.

I dont have this model but my washer dryer takes in cold water during the dry cycle, I think this is normal. If clothes are coming out at end of dry cycle hot and wet it may be worth checking the installation has been done correctly, e.g if the machine is a cold fill only, the fill hose may be on the hot water pipe by mistake.

water during dry is perfectly normal although hot when finished is not.
is your machine draining correctly.
are your pipes on back to front how long are you putting it on for and are you letting it complete the cycle.
details details its all in the details:)October 3, 2006 at 6:39 pm #190618Simon46

The machine relies on a restricted cold trickle of water through a condensor. Hot heated air is blown through the drum and cold condenser and the cool surface attracts water Like a cold can of coke attracts moisture on a hot day. Now either the trickle is too high a flow wetting the clothes or the drain pump is not getting rid of the water fast enough(blockage) or as said the pipes are reversed. The drying cycle is a lengthy process and at least 90 mins should elapse before clothes are nearly dry. Unplug Power if you are going to look yourself or try Repairs@ for one of our engineers.

thaks to everyone who gave advise, you led me in the right direction and at least I know the machine is not broken!
Anyhow I found the problem the drain hose is connected to some about another 3m of drain hose that connects into the waist pipe under the sink. If I remove the drain hose under the sink and put a bucket there it does drain but not enough to drain the drum.
If I dsconnect the drain hose at machine end so there is just the standard drain hose on the machine and feed it into a bucket the drum drains and dryer works.
So how do I over come this do i need to put a new waste pipe closer to the machine, but this means a horrible pipe on the outside of the house or stripping all the units to fit one behind, or is there any other suggestions?
Cheers

Hi
Another poor installation, the drain and vent hoses on respective appliances are that length for a reason. You will either have to move machine nearer to sink trap or hole through the wall (best option but expensive)Greg
