First time I have ever seen one of these, who makes it, looks too solid for a Candy?

Complaint of poor drying. Checked elements, stats, fans, ducts & condensor, no apparent faults. Couldn’t get it to run at all until they told me I had to put the plastic lower front vent back on. 😳 Had a look and it obviously activates a micro switch low down on the right. I did notice that there was a small lug for a screw which was missing. I put the dryer on and found that if I tapped the plastic cover the dryer stopped. When I pressed against the cover the dryer appeared to heat perfectly, popped a few damp clothes in and it soon got up to heat.

My guess is that when in use the lower front panel/vent is coming loose, knocking the dryer off mid cycle. I have replaced the screw and it is now on test.

Anyone familiar with this machine have any other suggestions?

    Jim.
