but not far off. I’ve been stalking around these parts for quite some time now, and have used the information in these forums to quite an extent over the last six months (so, Thanks to all the contributers !) I thought it was about time I put my toe into the water, and asked outright about the problem I seem to have.

I have a new, built in Bosch D/W. Came with the new-build house, so I never had anyone over to install it, it was just ‘there’ when we moved in back in May this year. I now find myself with a somewhat smelly problem, due to the machine not draining completly. I think the model would be SGV43E03GB/16 (?) though I do have a ‘type’ of SL15J1B….

I have my instruction book (and being female, I actually read it too 😛 😉 ) and have checked the waste water pump, and don’t seem to have a cover to remove as described, but it is highlighted as *some models, so I guess not mine ?

The resting water is staying in and around the water pump area, where the filters are, and is around 1.5-2 inches deep, so after a couple of days (it isn’t used every day) it starts to smell. Of course, this also means that the filters are in standing water at all times too, which I’m sure can’t be good for them.

Now, I have had an engineer out, but of course, in true style, we couldn’t re-create the fault, but it has now become a premanent feature of my D/W. He did show me the ‘reset’ function, but I’ve forgotten what that was (pressing a couple of buttons whilst switching on ?) and can’t find any reference to it in my booklet, but I remember him saying that should expel any water left in the machine ?

Any ideas as to what could be causing this ? The D/W itself seems to run the programs as normal, no problems with cleaning etc.

    Many thanks, Lil Dee.
