Have a problem with above model and some models from the same range of Zanussi/Electrolux frost free f/f`s.Works okay for a while then after a period of time build up of ice on evaporator in freezer indicating not going through defrost cycle, advance defrost clock to defrost and heater comes on but after period of defrost the time clock does not bring compressor back on, changed defrost timer and this does not help it still stays on defrost cycle,there are two thermal fuses in the freezer wired through the defrost heater one on the neutral side with a temperature rating of 40 degrees & one on the live side with a rating of 8 degrees which I think stop the clock advancing if the develop a fault , can any one help with regards to checking these to fuses and can anyone help with a supplier of these fuses as on the TDS disk you can only buy the evaporator with the said components and heater complete which is very expensive as the heater and evaporator are okay.

hi, had a look at the wiring diagram the 2 stats only stop the elements from coming on, the timer though gets its supply through 6 – 3 on the stat, is the stat dickie! 😕
years ago we had some timers that had a plastic cover over the hole in the timer housing, this cover/bung thingy was catching on the timer and sticking, offical repair, take off and throw away.
think stats come with element item 10 on tds if you need them
