    HI, getting the error code of 2nd and 4th LEDs flashing, could someone please tell me what’s up? Preferably something cheap 🙁

    Suggests that pressure switch is stuck on full. Error codes on these machines can be a little vague with certain faults. It could be a faulty pressure ( water level ) switch, a blockage somewhere or a fault in the very ticklish electronics this machine has on board. Is the machine draining correctly?

    The machine was in mid-wash with a very small load when it stopped and gave this code, it was still full of water and the door was locked, only way i could get the clothes out was to take the plug out and wait for the lock to release. Any possible DIY fixes before I call someone out?

    You should get a different code if the pump is blocked or restricted, however Indesit fault codes can be vague at times. Worth checking for pump or filter blockages, check your instruction book or remove the kickstrip from the lower front edge of your machine and you will see the pump filter, arm yourself with a bowl and some towels, remove the filter and check for obstructions or blockages.

    Be sure to remove the mains plug first.

    Unplugged machine, removed kickplate, unscrewed filter, got soaked, and there wrapped around the wee propellor thingy was…. the bracelet I bought my wife for xmas! needless to say she will be cooking tonight 🙂
