Built in Ariston type w/d.Customer says that when its on drying cycle steam comes out from under the tin lid.I managed to pull it out far enough to remove the lid(you need a bloody big shoehorn for this job).Condenser fill solenoid ok but getting no current-I suspect the main board-just wondered if anyone else had same fault and can confirm before I bust my guts dismantling the kitchen to access the board. Dont you just love these jobs at 5 o’clock Friday.

Failed dryer thermal fuse or thermistor I would think, both common enough problems 😉

Heater and fan working ok so clothes in drum just getting hot and steam building up till it escapes up the Soap dispenser, drum tumbles merrily on.Wouldnt have thought thermal fuse or thermistor affects the condenser water valve circuitry,or does the thermistor affect when water is allowed into the condenser( ie the valve isnt on all the time as in the old machines with clockwork circuitry)and only switches the valve on when the required temp is detected?I hope it is the thermistor ,it’ll save me dismantling the kitchen.

Send it to us for test £5+vat. Include a note of the model no. and the fault. We will then call you after testing it. Tony 0115 9652118

Time to earn your money by dragging it out .

I would check all the condensor unit system for a big soggy
    lump of fluff .

    Good luck Stephen
