Take a look at the Whirlpool AWOD4505 1200 spin, good solid design with a nationwide service back up. Or if you can stretch to it then the Bosch WAE24162GB again 1200 spin with a two year guarantee. Hope you get sorted.

More often than not, those two are mutually exclusive. 😥

Thanx so much for your quick replies, folks! I’ll check out the items mentioned before buying. Meanwhile, I found the Samsung J1253 with 7Kg load, 1200 spin, and 2 yr warranty for £229, plus 3 yr ext’d @ £50- from Comet. Seems favourite up to now, but it ain’t over yet, as they say. Anyone come across my problem with the Servis before? Recon main module fitted (seems to be a volt reg that went)- is there a prog unit on this, behind the front panel (as well as the display board)? Or what else can cause the probs I’m having? It tripped my RCB then was dead thereafter, fitted the MiniSel module, and can now get power, but all segments of progress indicator, and all push buttons lite up together, with no other action. Shame to bin it having gone so far, as it’s only 2 yr old, and mint in other respects, and would do for back up. Any thought people? Cheers everyone,,,,,Dave

Plenty of useful info here, http://tinyurl.com/zez8h read the Samsung one before diving in, 😉
